Why it matters
As the visual representation of our company’s values and purpose, the EllisDon logo captivates with its clever design—a monogram that melds an ‘invisible’ lowercase “e” with a distinct uppercase “D”. The interlocking “E” and “D” in our name are designed to symbolize the strong relationships we build with our clients and partners. The overlapping letters also represent the collaboration and teamwork that drives our success.
Paired with the EllisDon name, this monogram boldly embodies our company’s drive and the consistent strength of our brand that we’ve proudly maintained throughout the years.
EllisDon’s logo is the champion of our brand’s identity system, so it must always appear on all materials with steadfast consistency.

About our logo
Crafted with intention, every curve, line, and proportion, has been deliberately designed and should never be altered. It must always be used correctly and given the most appropriate treatment based on its surroundings and supporting elements.
Getting to know the ins and outs of our logo is the first step to being able to use it successfully and consistently.
The logo is comprised three major components, and the relationship between their sizing and spacing must always be maintained. The three parts of the logo are:
• The Monogram
• The Wordmark
• The Tagline

Logo construction & clear space
Proportions: The relationship between the three components that comprise the complete EllisDon logo, when used in conjunction with one another, must always maintain the proportions as defined. Where 4x is the height of the largest letters in “EllisDon”, the rest of the spacing can be determined at any size. Clear Space: When the logo is integrated with various forms of content such as text and other imagery, it must be positioned within a clear space area. To ensure the logo will remain distinct and legible, no other design elements may enter the clear space area.
Using the same unit of measurement as above, nothing can enter the clear space.

Logo sizing
The logo must always be clear and readable, which means it can’t be too small. The minimum size isn’t the same for every situation; it varies depending on the display method, whether it’s on a screen, printed by different types of printers, or on a vinyl sign.
For the full logo, including the monogram, the company name, and the tagline, here are the guidelines for the minimum width to keep everything properly sized. If you’re using the logo without the tagline, you may have more flexibility to reduce the size.
However, most importantly, the company name and tagline should always remain easy to read.

Logo mongram
The monogram may be used as a graphic element, but must never replace the logo. Must only be used if the full logo is visible.
02.8
Logo co-branding
Sometimes, we may need to lock up our logo with another business or partner. We separate our logo and a partner’s logo by using an ‘x’. The spacing is set at 2x left and right. The x must be in Helvetica neue regular and sized to half the height of the “n” in EllisDon. Our partner’s logo should never exceed the size height of our full logo. The lockup can be used in linear or stacked versions.
